The BigDecks signature

Big boards.
Long lines.

The OG 4×12 is the surface board arrangement at the heart of BigDecks. Broad real-wood boards, long continuous runs and exposed steel nail heads give the deck its generous scale.

Choose Douglas fir or Western red cedar. We work through the board arrangement, finish and connection to the house with you. The surface profile is one choice within the project; framing, foundations and connections are selected for your site.

From an idea to a finished deck

Know what happens next.

Start with photographs, approximate dimensions and the way you want to use the space. You do not need a finished design to begin.

  1. Review the site

We visit, measure and discuss the layout, wood, finish and work you want included. Access, changes in level and existing features help define the scope.

  2. Develop the plan

Straightforward builds have no design fee. For a site plan or several connected components, paid Design Assist provides a 3D design and plan. Its fee is credited toward the build when you move forward.

  3. Confirm the quote

You receive a written scope and price before approving the work. Review the selected materials, finish, stairs, railings, removal and other requested elements together.

  4. Build and hand off

BigDecks documents progress with photographs and closes the project with a walkthrough. We explain the care plan for the wood and finish you selected.

The space around the deck

Bring the backyard together.

A deck can be part of a larger plan for privacy, shade and outdoor bathing. BigDecks also works on fencing and gates, pergolas, carpentry, welding and metalwork.

Saunas, cold plunges, hot tubs and outdoor showers can be planned with the deck, access, privacy and drainage around them. Equipment, site requirements and installation are quoted for your project.

Our landscape and stonework includes selective West Texas planting, limestone pavers, blocks and steps, pathways and steel edging, developed through Design Assist and built by BigDecks.
